Dear User, Sercanto S.r.l., in its capacity as Data Controller, wish to provide you, in a clear and
transparent way, the information about cookie used by www.sercanto.com and describes the
purposes and conditions of their use.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text strings that the website sends to the User’s terminal (usually the browser), where they are stored and then sent back to the same website the next time the User visits (so-called first-party cookies). It is, therefore, a tool that assists the Data Controller in providing the service according to the different purposes pursued. Some of these purposes may also require the User’s consent; this consent may be revoked freely at any time by following the instructions contained in this document. During navigation on the site, the User may also receive cookies on his terminal that are sent from different websites (so-called third party cookies) and this happens because the website visited may contain images, maps, links to other web pages and other elements that reside on servers other than that on which the page requested is located. The responsibility and management of first party cookies is assumed directly by the Controller, while that of third-party cookies fall on the respective owners.

Types of cookies

Cookies may have a limited duration of a single browsing session (so-called session cookies) and be automatically deactivated when the browser is closed, or they may have a predetermined expiry date (so-called permanent cookies) and remain active until that time, thus continuing to collect information during the different browsing sessions. In order to provide a complete description of these devices, it is necessary to make further distinctions based on their technical characteristics. In fact, cookie are used for various functions: some are necessary to allow the User to browse the website and take advantage of its functions (technical cookies); others are used to obtain statistical information, whether aggregated or not, on the number of Users accessing the site and on how the site is used (so-called analytic cookies); others are used to track the profile of the consumer and allow the same to display advertising consistent with the tastes and consumption habits of the User (so-called profiling cookies).

Which cookies are used and for what purposes

The site uses technical cookies, necessary to ensure the User the best functionality of the site. They are not used for further purposes and can be divided into:

  • session cookies, which guarantee normal navigation and use of the website; they are not permanent and are deleted when the browser is closed. They are used to transmit the identifiers of the navigation sessions and to allow the safe and efficient navigation of the site. They are in fact necessary for the proper functioning of the website;
  • analytic cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the operator of the site to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of Users and how they visit the site, in order to improve the performance of the web page;
  • functionality cookies, which allow the User to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (e.g. language) in order to improve the service provided to the User.

For the installation of such cookies, the prior consent of the Users is not required, even if with respect to them the Data Controller remains obliged to provide adequate information, and in any case remains free to prevent the installation at any time, through the settings of your browser. However, we inform you that such a choice could slow down and sometimes block the navigation on the site.

In this web page are also installed profiling cookies, designed to create profiles relating to the User and used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the same in the context of surfing the web. To install these cookies, prior consent is required, expressed by clicking on the “ACCEPT” button in the banner that appears during navigation and informs the User that this type of cookie is used within this site. The installation can be blocked at any time, without the possibility to visit the site and enjoy its contents compromised in any way.

By using the interactive button to block profiling cookies, you will still receive a technical cookie to store your preference. By deleting all cookies from your browser, this technical cookie may also be removed and, therefore, you may be asked again to express your choice to block these cookies using the interactive button.

This web page also installs advertising cookies of the partners, which allow to provide a service of advertising information of greater interest to the User through the acquisition of information derived from navigation and use of certain services offered. In particular, these cookies are used to publish personalized ads within the job search portal.

Finally, we inform you that, as part of this personalized advertising service, cookies never store information that may allow the personal identification of users.
